Please note that CGC’s grading turnaround times are entirely separate from our 4–5 week pressing and cleaning turnaround. Once your books leave our facility, the timeline is dictated by CGC’s current volume.
CGC processes books based on their era and declared value. Modern books generally process faster than vintage issues, and high-value tiers receive expedited service. We maintain a regularly updated reference page with CGC’s current estimated turnaround times so you know exactly what to expect.
No. When you use our submission service, your books are submitted under our authorized account. You do not need to pay for an annual CGC membership.
No. The cost of pressing and cleaning is separate. When you select the CGC add-on, you will be responsible for the actual CGC grading fees, return shipping from CGC, and our handling fee. We provide a clear breakdown of these costs before submission.
If a slab arrives from CGC with a crack or defect, we will handle the communication with CGC to get the slab repaired. If CGC damages a book during grading, they have their own liability policies which we will help you navigate.
Currently, our streamlined submission handling service is exclusively for CGC. CBCS is no longer offering grading services.
