Whether your book has a spine roll from years on a shelf, a corner dent from a rough shipment, or surface dirt that has built up over decades, pressing and dry cleaning are the most effective ways to improve its structural condition before grading. Comics Reborn handles both modern and vintage books, with service tiers based on book value to ensure your submission is handled at the right level of care.
Using soft, non-abrasive tools, we remove loose surface dirt, dust, and debris from the cover and interior pages. This step alone can make a noticeable difference in the appearance of a book.
Using a controlled combination of heat, humidity, and pressure, we flatten non-color-breaking defects — dents, bends, spine rolls, and corner dings. The process does not add any foreign material to the book, which means it will not trigger a CGC restoration flag. Your book comes back looking structurally cleaner, with a better chance of achieving its highest possible grade.
Not every defect can be removed through pressing. Color breaks, tears, and missing pieces are outside the scope of this service. We will flag any concerns before proceeding.
Our pricing is structured by the current market value of your book, not by age or title. This keeps things straightforward and ensures your book is handled with the appropriate level of attention.
Covers standard dry cleaning and pressing for books valued up to $999. Suitable for most modern keys, silver age readers, and bronze age books.
For higher-value books that warrant additional care and handling time. Suitable for silver and golden age keys, high-grade modern variants, and significant vintage books.
For significant golden age and key vintage books valued at $5,000 or more. Pricing is discussed on a per-book basis based on the specific condition and needs of the book. As a standard, the service fee would be 4% of the Fair Market Value (FMV)
