Comic book pressing, cleaning & treatment liability waiver and service agreement. Please read this in full before submitting any books.
This Liability Waiver and Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Comics Reborn (“Service Provider”) and the Customer. By signing the Comic Book Submission Form, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
Comic book pressing, cleaning, and conservation-related treatments involve handling vintage and modern paper products that may have existing weaknesses due to age, manufacturing defects, storage conditions, prior restoration, previous repairs, or other pre-existing conditions. While Comics Reborn performs all services using professional techniques and industry best practices, no process is entirely risk-free.
The Customer understands and accepts that comic book pressing, cleaning, and treatment services carry inherent risks. The Customer agrees that Comics Reborn shall not be held liable for any accidental damage that may occur during or as a result of these services, including but not limited to tears, spine stress, staple pull, paper separation, ink transfer, cover or interior page damage, brittleness, color loss, or any other unforeseen condition that may become apparent during the restoration process.
By submitting a comic book for service, the Customer voluntarily assumes all risks associated with these procedures.
The Customer understands that tanning removal, stain removal, foxing reduction, and other conservation-related treatments involve additional procedures beyond standard pressing and cleaning.
The Customer acknowledges and accepts that there is approximately a 1% chance that a comic book receiving these treatments may receive a Conservation or Restoration designation by Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) or another third-party grading company based on that company’s grading standards.
The Customer agrees that Comics Reborn shall not be responsible or liable if a comic book receives a Conservation or Restoration label or designation following these treatments.
Comics Reborn is an independent business and is not employed by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Certified Guaranty Company (CGC).
Any opinions, estimates, predictions, or statements regarding a comic book’s potential grade, market value, desirability, or label designation are solely the personal opinion of Comics Reborn and are provided only as a courtesy.
The Customer understands that only CGC or another third-party grading company determines the final numerical grade and label designation, and that Comics Reborn has no influence over those decisions.
The Customer understands that pressing, cleaning, or conservation-related services do not guarantee any improvement in grade, market value, eye appeal, or label designation.
Any estimated grade discussed before or after service is only an opinion and should not be interpreted as a promise or guarantee of the final grading outcome.
All services performed by Comics Reborn require significant labor and professional expertise.
The Customer agrees that once work has begun or has been completed, all sales are final.
No refund, credit, reimbursement, or chargeback shall be issued because:
The Customer expressly agrees that grading outcomes do not constitute defective workmanship by Comics Reborn.
